Legendary song writer Hoagy Carmichael’s Mid Century Ranch in Thunderbird available for the first time ever, recently updated yet still reminiscent of Hoagy’s illustrious career. Asking 1.295M

Stunning mid-century home located on the 8th green of the prestigious Thunderbird Country Club with magnificent views of the mountains, golf course and lake from every room in the house. This home was originally designed by William Cody for Hoagy Carmichael and has never been on the market. Completely renovated in 2003/2004. The design of this ranch style mid-century home, popular in the 1950’s, was followed as closely as possible to maintain the integrity of it’s historic value. Every detail of this home was done with only the finest quality materials including polished concrete floors, granite countertops, tinted double paned windows throughout and much more. A must see to appreciate this one of a kind property.

  1. Catherine Cramer says:

Curious. Cody’s collection says he did alterations to this home in 1955, the original home was 1953 and the collection doesn’t say that Cody was original designer. Property Shark also shows the house as 1953, so just wondered if you had source that shows Cody as designer of the “original” 1953 design. I know he did many houses there, so it may be an oversight in the collection notes I’m seeing. Dates can also be off by a couple of years (design date vs. build date) but the collection reads alterations. Any information would be helpful, thanks!
